MEET CIRCLE E PUBLISHING BOOKS BEGIN WITH CURIOSITY
Circle E Publishing is an independent creative publishing house built around a simple idea:
Follow the questions worth asking
Sometimes those questions lead to personal growth and reflection. Sometimes they lead to spirituality, history, unexplained experiences, wellness, travel, preparedness, or stories created simply to spark a child's imagination. That's why the Circle E library doesn't fit squarely onto one shelf. And we wouldn't want it to.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND CIRCLE E GWEN & CHUCK EUBANK
WHY ARE OUR BOOKS SO DIFFERENT?
BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE.
A reader interested in personal growth may also wonder about reincarnation, the unknown, or the unexplained.
Someone fascinated by ghost stories may love history.
A person thinking about attention and technology may also be dreaming about high adventure or planning a trip to Costa Rica.
A parent looking for a children's book may also be searching for a journal for themselves.
We don't believe readers need to stay inside one category.
And it seems our readers don't believe that either.
Circle E Publishing follows ideas wherever they lead, which is why our library stretches from reflection and spirituality to history, wellness, practical living, children's books, unexplained mysteries, journals, travel, and beyond.
Curiosity is the thread connecting them all.
THE PEOPLE AND NAMES BEHIND THE BOOKS
GWEN EUBANK
Gwen Eubank has been a reader for as long as she can remember.
Growing up in a close, loving family, the encyclopedias lived on shelves her father built in her bedroom, the library was a regular weekend destination, and books became her doorway to a much larger world. School, she readily admits, was another matter entirely.
Gwen married Chuck at eighteen, shortly before he left for Vietnam, beginning a life together that would rarely stay in one place for long. Along the way came three children, work in insurance and at a well-known accounting firm, travel through Europe and East Africa, and eventually a move to Costa Rica, where Gwen and Chuck raised their family and built a fly-tying company employing dozens of women. Gwen helped run the operation and led sales for the company.
Their years in Costa Rica also included operating a small chemical testing laboratory whose clients ranged from major corporations to the Costa Rican Ministry of Health. Gwen's work took her over rough roads into some of the country's smallest interior communities, visiting local laboratories involved in helping ensure that community water supplies were safe to drink.
Her entrepreneurial life continued with AquilaVision, Inc., the communications company she and Chuck built and remain involved with today. Along the way there have been other ventures, some more successful than others, but nearly all worth the experience.
Her lifelong curiosity has taken her through faith, spirituality, family, travel, entrepreneurship, and now publishing. At Circle E, Gwen writes reflective and faith-centered books and journals and is the creator of Circle E's personalized Life Maps.
Publishing has given her something she has always loved: another challenge, another opportunity to grow, and another reason to keep learning.
For the girl who once read the encyclopedias in her bedroom, that seems somehow fitting.
EMILY BARTON
Emily Barton was Chuck's aunt, born around the turn of the twentieth century. She was a highly educated, remarkably intelligent woman, a wonderful conversationalist, and what the family remembers simply as the kind of “cool aunt” everyone wishes they had.
She had a profound influence on both Chuck and Gwen.
Although Emily has long since passed, her name lives on at Circle E Publishing as a pen name chosen in her honor.
It is fitting that books carrying her name explore spirituality, mystery, the unexplained, human relationships, and subjects that invite readers to look beneath the surface and ask another question. These were the kinds of subjects Emily herself enjoyed discussing. She was curious, thoughtful, well-read, and always interesting to talk with.
Using her name isn't simply a publishing choice.
It's a small way of keeping someone unforgettable in the conversation.
C. S. EUBANK — CHUCK EUBANK
Chuck Eubank has never followed anything resembling a straight line.
An Eagle Scout and U.S. Navy veteran who served three tours during the Vietnam War on the Admiral's staff of the U.S. Seventh Fleet, Chuck later earned a degree in Environmental Science from Principia College.
From there, life took him through construction, municipal government and law enforcement in Alta, Utah, twenty years in his family's insurance business, and eventually to Costa Rica, where he and Gwen raised their family and together built a fly-tying company employing approximately ninety women.
His lifelong passion for fly fishing later took him to a remote lodge in Canada's Yukon Territory, while his environmental work brought him to Montana and research involving coyotes and wolves in Yellowstone National Park, as well as Yellowstone Lake's cutthroat trout.
He later worked in hyperspectral environmental science before he and Gwen founded AquilaVision, Inc., a communications company that continues to operate today.
Along the way came a lifetime of travel, adventure, river running, hunting, fishing, business, science, wilderness, technology, mentoring young people through Scouting, and more than a few unexplained experiences.
Today, Chuck writes.
His books range widely for a simple reason:
So has his life.
WHAT GUIDES CIRCLE E
At Circle E Publishing, we believe a good book doesn't always need to provide every answer.
Sometimes its greatest value is in asking a better question, introducing a new idea, preserving a story, offering a moment for reflection, or opening the door to a subject the reader has never considered before.
Whether we're exploring personal growth, spirituality, history, the unexplained, practical living, or simply telling a story worth reading, we approach each book with the same goal: to create something thoughtful, approachable, and genuinely interesting.
We respect our readers and their curiosity. We want them to enjoy the journey, think for themselves, and perhaps see something a little differently than they did before.
The best books don't simply end on the final page. They leave you with something worth carrying forward.
MORE THAN BOOKS
Circle E is also home to Personal Life Maps, created to help people explore the patterns, influences, transitions, and seasons that have shaped their lives.
Life Maps bring together historical and generational context, astrology, numerology, life cycles, archetypal patterns, reflective Tarot, and personal narrative into an individually created exploration of a person's journey.
WHERE WILL YOUR CURIOSITY TAKE YOU?
Maybe you're here because you want to reclaim some quiet. Maybe you're curious about the mysteries we still can't explain.
Maybe you're looking for reflection, faith, history, practical knowledge, a children's adventure, or something you didn't know you were interested in until you saw it.
That's the fun of a library.
You don't always know which book is going to find you.
